Airline Transport Pilot

PrerequisitesA multi engine commercial pilot’s license with an instrument rating 1500 hours total time, 250 hours as PIC, 500 hours of cross country time, 100 hours of night flight time, 75 hours of instrument time (simulated and actual combined) and a valid medical. There are no specific training requirements for the ATP, in fact you don’t need a sign off from an instructor, you can recommend yourself. But to be prepared it is a good idea get training from someone who has gone through the process before. Here is an average cost of the training recommended.  

10 hours of flight time in a Piper Seminole - $2335

10 hours of flight instruction - $500

10 hours of ground instruction- $500

Text Books and Supplies - $75

FAA written test - $90

FAA practical test - $500

TOTAL - $4000
